Dr. Kennedy has been involved in bariatric surgery since 1996.  She trained in general surgery at the Medical College of Virginia with a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery from the Cleveland Clinic Florida.  She is one of the first 100 surgeons to complete a Focused Practice Designation in Metabolic and Bariatric surgery.

Dr Kennedy is a national leader in bariatric surgery.  She is on the Executive council for the Texas Association of Bariatric Surgery as well as the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  She dedicates her practice to treating the whole patient with cutting edge practices - both surgical and medical - for the treatment of the disease of obesity.
